Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy

One of our primary goals is to provide excellent individualized medical care. "No-Shows" and late cancellations prevent other clients from accessing medical care in a timely manner. We would like to remind you of our office policy regarding missed appointments. This policy enables us to better utilize available appointments for our patients in need of medical care. We are proud of our ability to see our patients when they need medical care and we need your cooperation to do so.

Canceling Your Appointment

In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call us promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will be reallocated to patient in need of treatment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give another person the ability to have access to timely medical care. 

Patients who arrive on time are seen at their scheduled time. Patients who have arrived on time will be seen ahead of those who arrive late. If you arrive late, we may need to abbreviate or reschedule your pet’s visit.

Late Cancellations

A cancellation is considered late when a client does not cancel their scheduled appointment without a 24-hour advance notice. 

An established client who cancels without 24 hours notice, may result in a $40 cancellation fee.  An appointment scheduled for Monday must be cancelled by noon on Saturday to avoid the $40 cancellation fee. This fee will be billed to your account.

For new clients we require a non-refundable $75 deposit per pet at the time of scheduling. A new client who cancels without 24 hours notice will lose this deposit. The deposit is transferrable to a future visit as long as the appointment is rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. An appointment scheduled for a Monday must be cancelled by noon on the Saturday prior to avoid losing your deposit.
 

Call ahead if you are late or unable to make your appointment time. We will do all that we can to accommodate your pet’s appointment and to minimize the need to reschedule your appointment. 

No-Show Policy

A "no-show" is someone who misses an appointment without cancelling it in an adequate manner. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in your medical record as a "no-show."
• Established Clients

  • Any missed appointments: $50 fee will be billed to your account each time.
  • Any missed Surgery appointment: $150 deposit will be forfeited and a $300 deposit will be required to reschedule your pet's procedure.

• New Clients

  • Your new client deposit will be forfeited and a $150 fee will be required to schedule a future appointment.
